Getting the Most Out of the Teacher Dashboard

15 January 2026 8 min read

The PeddyLoop teacher and parent dashboard contains more than most users realise. This guide walks through every feature and how to use it effectively.

Connecting to students

Before anything else, you need to connect your account to your students. From the dashboard, navigate to Students and use the connection code system. Students accept the connection from their own dashboard. Once connected, you can see their full progress history.

Reading the mastery heatmap

The mastery heatmap shows every subtopic across the curriculum colour-coded by mastery level. Green indicates mastered, blue proficient, yellow developing, orange beginner, and grey not started.

Focus on the orange and yellow subtopics — these are where students have started but have not yet consolidated understanding. These are your highest-leverage intervention points.

Assigning homework

Homework assignments in PeddyLoop are not static worksheets — they are dynamically generated from the topics you select. Each student receives questions appropriate to their current level, so a stronger student and a weaker student can work on the same topic without either being bored or overwhelmed.

Set a due date, select the subtopics, and PeddyLoop handles the rest.

Session summaries

After each learning session, PeddyLoop generates a session summary showing which questions were answered, how many attempts each took, and what feedback the AI provided. These summaries are visible to teachers and parents, giving complete transparency into how students are spending their practice time.
