1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using PeddyLoop ("Platform," "Service," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Platform.
2. Description of Service
2.1 Platform Overview
PeddyLoop is an AI-powered educational platform providing:
- Personalized learning sessions with AI tutoring
- Question generation and automatic marking
- Mock exams based on past papers, with optional AI marking and grade estimation
- AI-led taught lessons
- University entry exam practice (including TMUA, ESAT, STEP, BMO, and BPhO)
- Progress tracking and mastery assessments
- Homework assignment and management tools, including teacher worksheet uploads
- A real-time collaborative whiteboard with in-session chat
- Peddy, an AI assistant that answers questions about your own learning data
- Teacher and parent monitoring features
2.2 AI-Powered Features
Our Platform uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) to:
- Evaluate student answers and provide feedback
- Generate personalized questions
- Mark mock exam answers against official mark schemes and estimate grades
- Generate mark schemes from worksheets uploaded by teachers
- Assess skill levels and recommend content
- Process handwritten work via image recognition
- Answer questions about your own learning data (Peddy)
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account Types
- Students: Access learning content and submit assignments
- Teachers: Create classes, assign homework, monitor progress
- Parents: Monitor children's progress and assign work
3.2 Registration Requirements
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Be at least 13 years old (under 13 requires parental consent)
- One account per person
3.3 Sign-In Options
You may register and sign in with an email address and password, or through Google Sign-In. If you use Google Sign-In:
- Google shares your name and email address with us to create and access your account
- We never receive or store your Google password
- Your use of Google Sign-In is also subject to Google's own terms and privacy policy
3.4 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your password confidential
- All activities under your account
- Notifying us immediately of unauthorized access
3.5 Account Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts that:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in fraudulent activity
- Abuse the Platform or other users
- Remain inactive for extended periods
4. Subscription and Payments
4.1 Free Trial
- New users receive a 7-day free trial
- Trial starts upon first answer submission
- No payment required during trial period
- Access restricted after trial expiration
4.2 Paid Subscriptions
- Monthly subscription plans available
- Prices displayed in GBP (£) unless otherwise stated
- Payment processed securely through third-party providers (Stripe); we do not store your full card details
- Automatic renewal unless cancelled
4.3 One-Off Purchases and Credits
- Certain features, such as AI mock exam marking, may be purchased individually (for example, per marked paper) or consumed from marking credits included in a subscription plan
- One-off purchase prices are displayed at the point of purchase
- Unused credits included in a subscription do not convert to cash and expire as described in your plan
4.4 Enterprise Licences
- Teachers and organisations may purchase student licences in bulk through the Platform
- Volume pricing, licence management, and licence changes are described at the point of purchase
- Licences are assigned to individual students and are not transferable between organisations
4.5 Refund Policy
- No refunds for partial months or partial years
- One-off purchases (such as AI exam marking) are non-refundable once the service has been delivered, except where required by law

4.6 Cancellation
- Cancel anytime through account settings
- Access continues until end of billing period
- No prorated refunds for early cancellation
4.7 Subscription Modifications and Price Changes
4.7.1 Right to Modify Subscription
We reserve the right to:
- Add, modify, or remove features from subscription plans
- Change the scope or nature of services offered
- Introduce new subscription tiers or plans
- Discontinue certain features with reasonable notice
4.7.2 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices:
- To reflect increases in operational costs
- In accordance with inflation rates (Consumer Price Index - CPI)
- To comply with changes in applicable laws or taxes
- To reflect changes in third-party service costs (e.g., AI processing)
4.7.3 Notice of Changes
For any price increases or significant subscription modifications:
- We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice via email
- Notice will clearly state the new price and effective date
- Notice will explain the reason for the change
4.7.4 Your Rights
If you do not accept a price increase or subscription modification:
- You may cancel your subscription without penalty before the effective date
- Your subscription will continue at the current price until your next renewal date
- After cancellation, you will not be charged the new rate
4.7.5 Deemed Acceptance
Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the new prices or terms.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
5.1 Permitted Use
You may use the Platform to:
- Complete educational assignments
- Track academic progress
- Communicate with connected teachers/parents/students
- Collaborate on shared whiteboards with invited participants
- Access learning resources
5.2 Prohibited Activities
You may NOT:
- Share accounts or passwords
- Use the Platform for commercial purposes without authorization
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute content without permission
- Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise security
- Upload malicious files or code
- Impersonate other users or provide false information
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Post offensive, harmful, or inappropriate content on shared whiteboards or in session chat
- Share whiteboard session codes or invite links with people who should not have access to the session
- Use the Platform to cheat on external exams
- Submit work that is not your own for homework
- Attempt to manipulate mastery scores or progress tracking
5.3 Academic Integrity
- The Platform is a learning tool, not a cheating tool
- Work submitted should be your own
- Teachers and parents monitor submissions
- Suspicious activity may result in account suspension
5.4 Teacher Uploads
Teachers who upload worksheets or other materials to generate homework or mark schemes confirm that they have the right to use those materials for this purpose.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Platform Ownership
All Platform content, features, and functionality are owned by PeddyLoop and protected by international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
6.2 User Content
- You retain ownership of work you create and submit
- You grant us license to process, store, and display your content for Platform operations
- We may use aggregate, anonymized data for platform improvement
6.3 AI-Generated Content
- Questions, feedback, and mark schemes generated by AI are owned by PeddyLoop
- You may not extract, reproduce, or redistribute platform questions
- Educational use permitted within the Platform only
7. Privacy and Data Protection
7.1 Data Collection
We collect and process personal information as described in our Privacy Notice.
7.2 Student Data Protection
- Student data used only for educational purposes
- Personal data handled in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018
- GDPR compliant (EU users)
- No sale of student data to third parties
7.3 Connected Users
- Teachers and parents can view progress of connected students
- Students can disconnect at any time
- Data sharing limited to educational purposes
8. AI and Automated Decisions
8.1 AI Limitations
- AI feedback may contain errors or inaccuracies
- Not a replacement for qualified teachers
- Use as supplementary learning tool
8.2 Marks and Grade Estimates
- AI marking of practice questions, homework, and mock exams is an estimate, not an official result
- Grade estimates are indicative only and do not predict or guarantee results in real examinations
- Official grades can only be awarded by exam boards
8.3 No Guarantees
We do not guarantee:
- Specific exam results or grades
- AI accuracy in all cases
- Acceptance by educational institutions
8.4 Human Oversight
Teachers and parents should review AI feedback and progress reports.
9. Third-Party Services
9.1 External Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
9.2 Service Providers
We use third-party services for:
- AI processing (Anthropic)
- Handwriting recognition (Google Cloud Vision and locally-run TrOCR, for images of written work you upload)
- Payment processing (Stripe)
- Sign-in (Google, where you choose Google Sign-In)
- Cloud storage (Amazon Web Services)
- Email delivery (SendGrid)
- Hosting (Fly.io)
- Analytics (Meta, only if you accept analytics cookies)
10. Disclaimers and Limitations
10.1 "As Is" Service
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
10.2 No Educational Guarantees
We do not guarantee:
- Improved exam scores
- University admission
- Qualification achievement
- Employment outcomes
10.3 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PEDDYLOOP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
- Damages exceeding the amount paid for the subscription
10.4 Service Availability
We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted service access
- Error-free operation
- Data loss prevention
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PeddyLoop from any claims arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your use of the Platform
- Your submitted content
- Your violation of any third-party rights
12. Changes to Terms
12.1 Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be:
- Posted on this page with updated date
- Notified via email for significant changes
- Effective immediately upon posting
12.2 Continued Use
Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.
13. Governing Law
13.1 Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
13.2 Dispute Resolution

- Mediation before litigation
- Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction
